Does anyone read this? Merlin I seem to misplace this journal more than anything else I own. Things have, in general calmed down at the office which has been a very good thing. I don't dread going into work lately, and in fact have not been counting down to the end of the work week.

In other news, my parents are currently somewhere in France celebrating their anniversary. Which usually wouldn't impact me much, however I'm minding the manor since my mother suddenly "doesn't trust the house elves". I'm not quite sure what brought this on, but it's easier to humor her than it is to listen to her for days on end. her voice is quite shrill I'll be here for a week if all goes as planned.

I have learned the hard way that it is never a good idea to be chosen to help with trainees. Now I know why my co-workers were laughing when I told them I had been roped into helping. Somehow I'd forgotten that when you're an Obliviator trainee, you have to learn how the spell directly affects the subject. I don't know if it's better or worse that they're not very good yet as it's very disconcerting to have random memories on the edge of your consciousness.

Although, I did get a chance to have lunch with two people that I hadn't seen in awhile, so that did somewhat salvage my day.

Work has been busy of late. Apparently some people don’t seem to take the time to think before venturing out into Muggle London and making fools of themselves. So as one of the people who’s job it is to clean up after you, it would help greatly if you could use common sense. I know that for some of you, it’s asking quite a bit, but there’s always hope, right?

I have found though that obliviating idiots can be a good form of stress relief and occasionally satisfactory however. Management does seem as if they are going to hire a few more people which will hopefully spread the workload a bit more evenly. Hopefully this next batch of trainees will be brighter than the last.

Although on the bright side, I’m not working this weekend, so hopefully I can catch up with people. I've got to start getting out more So how’re the rest of you lot doing?
